Making Suggestions and Giving Opinions
Dalam percakapan sehari-hari, kita sering memberikan saran dan pendapat. Misalnya, ketika temanmu bertanya, “Apa yang harus saya lakukan akhir pekan ini?” atau “Bagaimana menurutmu tentang film itu?”, kamu perlu tahu cara memberikan saran dan pendapat dengan sopan dan jelas dalam bahasa Inggris.
Menggunakan frasa yang tepat akan membuat komunikasimu lebih alami dan mudah dimengerti.
Penjelasan Materi
Untuk memberikan saran, gunakan:
✅ Why don’t you…?
Example: Why don’t you try a new restaurant?
✅ How about…? / What about…?
Example: How about going to the beach this weekend?
✅ I suggest / I recommend…
Example: I suggest visiting the new museum.
✅ You should…
Example: You should take a break and relax.
✅ If I were you, I would… (Saran dengan kondisi imajiner)
Example: If I were you, I would talk to my boss about it.
Untuk memberikan pendapat, gunakan:
✅ I think… / I believe… / I feel…
Example: I think this book is very interesting.
✅ In my opinion… / Personally, I think…
Example: In my opinion, the new policy is unfair.
✅ As far as I’m concerned… (Pendapat lebih formal)
Example: As far as I’m concerned, we should follow the rules.
✅ To be honest… / Honestly… (Pendapat jujur)
Example: To be honest, I didn’t enjoy the movie.
✅ From my point of view…
Example: From my point of view, this decision is the best option.
