Audio Script (Transcription)
Hello and welcome to the Listening Room! My name is Emily, and today, we are going to talk about visiting the doctor. How do you talk about your health in English? Let’s find out!
When you go to the doctor, you can say:
“I don’t feel well.”
“I have a headache.”
“I have a fever.”
“I have a sore throat.”
The doctor might ask you:
“What are your symptoms?” (This means: What is wrong?)
“How long have you been sick?”
You can answer:
“I have been sick for two days.”
“I feel very tired.”
The doctor may give advice:
“You should rest and drink water.”
“Take this medicine twice a day.”
Let’s listen to an example conversation:
A: “Hello, doctor. I don’t feel well.”
