Level: A1
Accent: American
Audio Script (Transcription)
Hello and welcome to the Listening Room! My name is Emily, and today, we are going to talk about weekend plans. What do you usually do at the weekend? Let’s learn how to talk about it in English!
When someone asks, “What are your plans for the weekend?” you can say:
“I’m going to visit my grandparents.”
“I’m planning to go to the cinema with my friends.”
“I might stay at home and relax.”
If you don’t have plans yet, you can say:
“I’m not sure yet. Maybe I’ll go for a walk.”
“I haven’t decided, but I’d like to try a new restaurant.”
You can also ask someone about their plans:
“What about you? Do you have any plans for the weekend?”
Let’s listen to an example:
“This weekend, I’m going to the beach with my family. We’re leaving on Saturday morning, and we’ll spend the whole day there. On Sunday, I’ll probably stay home and watch a film.”
Now, it’s your turn! What are your plans for the weekend? Try to say them in English.
